One of the main attractions of the area where Apartamentos City Beach are is, without a doubt, the Playa de la Malvarrosa.
This beach, with an approximate lenght of 2 kilometers, is the most popular and touristic of Valencia province. All the available space for the visitor has smooth sand with no rocks, very comfortable to lie down or to walk along the shore.
It has many different services to the visitor, such as lifeguards and first aid posts, attended by the Red Cross staff, wooden runways to the shore, showers and feet cleaners. There are also specific services for disabled people such as adapted portable toilets, o bathing spots with amphibious wheelchairs.
For the kids there are many play zones in the sand and in the promenade. There you will find also some gymnastic devices for adults and old people.
The quality and the attention to the visitor have been recognised by giving to this beach the Q certificate of touristic quality and the Blue Flag, awarded in 2007.
Valencia’s Harbour, located in the south end of Malvarrosa’s Beach, has been historically a strategic point of entrance for goods and passengers to the Iberic Peninsula.
Even though this activity is still on, many of the areas dedicated in the past to those purposes are now places for walking and leisure. Good examples are the “tinglados”, big metallic structures that used to be offices and storages and now accommodate events like the Feria de Julio.
The big events that have been celebrated in the Harbour have changed its look. You can see it in some recently built structures like the building Veles e Vents, made for the holding of the 32nd America’s Cup. Now it hosts a restaurant.
All the space of the Harbour is public and it is a very nice place to walk around. To get there you can follow the Promenade by foot or to take the Tram (Stop: Grau-Canyamelar) or by Bus (Lines 2 and 19).
